Class Description

US Brokers Institute has partnered with Career WebSchool to offer online real estate courses. These courses are a great option for candidates who are currently working, but seeking to make a change to a career where THEY control their success. We know that the traditional classroom schedule may not work with your busy life, so our online courses use the same materials we use in our live course, but allow you to work at your own pace.

We recommend the “Works Deluxe” version of the course. This provides the greatest range of resources for you to pass the state licensing exam. In 2011, the pass rate for first time test takers in Michigan was 69%. That means that 31% had to take it again, and at $76 per exam, plus the time and stress of the test, we think it makes sense to give yourself the best shot the first time. If you haven’t taken an online course before, or you have and were dissatisfied with the learning experience, this might not be the right choice for you. Many people learn far better in a classroom setting, which is why we’ll continue to offer our Instructor Led Courses. For others, the online course atmosphere allows them to focus fully on the content at hand, and learn at their pace. Set a reasonable time frame to get it done, and stick to it. We generally recommend no more than a month. Any longer and you’ll find it difficult to retain the information from the start of the course when it comes time to take the state exam. So set yourself up for success by blocking out time on your calendar to complete the online course, just as if you were going to a class. This is also great practice for your career in real estate, where you’ll need to schedule time for prospecting and follow up! Lastly, block distractions. Set the expectation for those around you that class time means no interruptions (excepting emergencies). Choose a comfortable -but not too comfortable- workspace that offers some privacy, and make sure you’ve got a reliable internet connection.
